Visiting the Museum

The Northern Ireland War Memorial is currently closed to the public.  Alternative working arrangements are in place and staff have full access to emails and voicemail messages during normal working hours. We plan to reopen in August 2020.

We aim to make your visit to the Northern Ireland War Memorial as enjoyable as possible. Please let us know if there are any reasonable adjustments we can make for your visit.

The War Memorial is situated at 21 Talbot Street, Belfast, BT1 2LD.

Talbot Street is a one way street beside St Anne’s Cathedral.

Turning down from Donegall Street, the War Memorial is a red brick building on the right.

On arrival there is a buzzer for access to the War Memorial. Please ring the War Memorial buzzer and a member of staff will open the door and show you the exhibition which is on the ground floor of the building.

The Disabled Go website provides access information about our venue.

The Museum Assistant will be happy to answer any questions you have and we welcome feedback on your visit on Tripadvisor or on a comment card which you can complete during your visit.

Group tours and talks are available for community groups and schools but booking is required. Please visit the Learning tab to find out more.
