How to stay safe on your visit

While your visit may be a little different, we are looking forward to welcoming you back and sharing stories about the Second World War with you.

We have been awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard mark and in line with government advice, we have put measures in place to ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff.

Please do not visit if you or anyone in your household has:

  • Symptoms of Covid-19
  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia)
  • if you have been asked to self-isolate

We will ask you to follow our checklist to ensure that you stay safe on your visit:

Wear a face covering

We thank you for wearing a face covering to protect our staff and visitors.

Provide your details for NHS Test and Trace

We’re supporting NHS Test and Trace.

When you visit/ book we will collect your name, contact number/ email address and the date and time of your visit to support NHS Northern Ireland’s Test, Trace and Protect system. We may share this information with the service up to 21 days following your visit if required. Your information will be held according to GDPR regulations within our Privacy Policy, which you can read here:

Follow the one-way route

Use the floor markers to explore the museum and respect social distancing. We ask that you try to keep contact to a minimum as you make your way around the gallery. Please listen to our team and follow their instructions.

Clean your hands often

Wash your hands often, use our sanitiser stations and avoid touching your face.

Our toilets can only accommodate one family at a time, so please be patient and remember to wash your hands and sanitise on exit.

Please use contactless payment

Please use the gloves and sanitiser provided when browsing our bookshop. Use contactless payment if possible.

Please be patient

We can only accommodate 10 visitors at a time so we may have to ask you to return at a less busy time.

Our toilets are available but can only accommodate one family at a time.

Use the bin provided

Collect coughs and sneezes in a tissue and dispose of it in the bin provided.
