'In Honour of a Memory': The Victims of the Belfast Blitz by Alan Freeburn

Join us as we mark the anniversary of the Belfast Blitz on Thursday 25 April 2024 at 7pm with a FREE lecture titled, 'In Honour of a Memory': The Victims of the Belfast Blitz' by Alan Freeburn.

Over 900 people in Ards, Bangor, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast are known to have been killed as a result of Luftwaffe raids in April and May 1941. The majority were civilians; innocent men, women and children who were killed in their homes or places of refuge. This talk focuses on those victims, who they were and the often tragic circumstances and fateful decisions that led to their deaths.

This lecture will take place at the Northern Ireland War Memorial, 21 Talbot Street, Belfast, BT1 2LD at 7pm.
