Small Grants
Since 2008, the Northern Ireland War Memorial have proudly administered a small grants scheme awarding over £100k to projects which are in line with the organisation's charitable objectives.
Grants are expended on local projects and activities, mainly supporting the installation and maintenance of memorials to the men and women of Northern Ireland who lost their lives during the First and Second World War.

We Fought on D-Day
In 2023, NIWM awarded £2,000 towards a publication entitled, 'We Fought on D-Day' by Mark Scott.
The publication was based on recorded video interviews with Royal Ulster Rifles D-Day veterans. Material provided by DoubleBand films consisted of unused interview footage from a documentary originally broadcast in 2004 titled 'We Fought at D-Day' directed by Brian Henry Martin.

Robert Hill Hanna VC
The NIWM contributed £3,000 in 2021 to the Robert Hill Hannah VC Memorial in Kilkeel, Co. Down.
This was used to fund a life size statue memorial to Robert Hill Hanna who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his courageous actions and bravery during the Battle of Hill 70 on 21 August 1917. A native of Kilkeel, Robert Hill Hanna emigrated to Canada before the outbreak of the First World War.

St Augustine's Church
The NIWM donated £3,800 in 2018 to St Augustine's Church in Derry/ Londonderry.
This allowed the church to commission an Honours Board to commemorate members of the congregation who served during the First and Second World War.

Edmund De Wind VC
A £1,000 contribution was made in 2017 to the Edmund De Wind VC Memorial in Comber Square, Co. Down.
The memorial is a granite stone in memory of First World War Victoria Cross recipient Edmund De Wind. Born in Comber, he was posthumously awarded the medal for his actions while fighting in France in 1918.
