Second Lieutenant Cobble was severely injured at Victoria Barracks during the Easter Tuesday Raid and he lost his life as he was being brought to Musgrave Park Military Hospital.

He was the son of George and Christine Cobble and the husband of Lisette Catherine Irma Cobble of Felpham, Bognor Regis, Sussex.

He is buried in Belfast City Cemetery
