Elsie was presumed dead as a ‘consequence of war operations’ at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 29 October 1941.

She lost her life at her home on York Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

Twenty two people in total were killed here including her parents James and Martha and siblings Sadie, Norman and James.
