Geoffrey was declared dead 'in consequence of war operations' at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 29 October 1941.

He was killed at his home on Sunningdale Park during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

His parents Henry and Florence were also killed and although they are buried together at Carnmoney Public Cemetery, Geoffrey has no known grave.
