Mary was killed by falling masonry during the Easter Tuesday Raid on Sussex Street. At least 20 people were killed on this street.
Her body was taken to St George’s Market where she was identified by her grandson.
Her grandchildren Maura and Stephen also lost their lives in this incident.
Mary is buried in Milltown Cemetery with her grandchildren.
