Mary Anne was killed at her sister Elizabeth's home at 34 Unity Street when a parachute mine struck the spire of Trinity Street Church during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

Her son Thomas, sister Elizabeth and cousin Sofia were also killed in this incident.

She is buried in Milltown Cemetery.
