Elizabeth was killed at her home at 34 Unity Street when a parachute mine struck the spire of Trinity Street Church during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

Her sister Mary Anne, nephew Thomas and cousin Sofia were also killed in this incident.

Elizabeth's body was taken to St George's Market where she was identified by a cousin.
