Join us in October for Positive Ageing Month 2026 and uncover the story of the 1941 Belfast Blitz with a FREE guided walking tour of North Belfast.

This tour features the stories of those who were killed in the Belfast Blitz and survivors' accounts from NIWM's Oral History collection with period photographs showing how this part of the city was impacted by the enemy air raids in 1041.

The walking tour will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2026 and start from the Waterworks Park at 1pm, meeting at the entrance to the park at the bottom of Brookvale Avenue where it meets the Antrim Road (What3Words: hails.films.name). It will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and will finish in the city centre at Cathedral Gardens at the junction of Donegall Street and York Street (What3Words: trim.lamps.shunts).
