Hugh lost his life during the Easter Tuesday Raid on Hogarth Street.

At least 69 people lost their lives on Hogarth Street including his sister Mabel, brother in law James, sister Eileen, nephew Brian and niece Eileen.

He is pictured (left) alongside James.

Hugh is buried in Carnmoney Cemetery.
