John was declared dead 'in consequence of war operations' at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 12 June 1941.
He was killed when a wall of York Street Spinning Mill collapsed onto Sussex Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
At least 20 people in total were killed here including his siblings Patrick, Mary and Kathleen.
