Letitia was declared dead 'in consequence of war operations' at an inquest held at Belfast City Hall on 26 June 1941.

She was killed on Heather Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

In total, forty people were killed here including her sons, Herbert, Frederick and Robert and daughter in law Edith.
