Known as Ron, he died when No. 213 Antrim Road suffered a direct hit from a parachute mine during the Easter Tuesday Raid. Six others lost their lives at this address.

His body was taken to St George’s Market for identification and he is buried in Belfast City Cemetery.

He was the son of Thomas and Lucy Kingston of Wandsworth, London.
