Thomas was severely injured at his home on Burke Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.
He later died of his wounds in hospital.
Thirteen others lost their lives on Burke Street including his mother Rose, wife Mary, sons Richard and Anthony and cousin William.
He is buried in Milltown Cemetery with his family.
