Elizabeth was killed when a wall of York Street Spinning Mill collapsed onto Sussex Street during the Easter Tuesday Raid.

At least 20 people in total were killed here including her husband Charles and son Dennis. Her brother in law Francis was also killed.

Elizabeth’s body was taken to St George’s Market where she was identified by her mother-in-law.

She is buried in Milltown Cemetery with her husband and brother-in-law.
