NI Science Festival 2026: Women on the Home Front - A Hands-On History Workshop
Step back in time and discover the important roles women played during the Second World War in this interactive children's workshop as part of NI Science Festival 2026.
The session begins with a short, engaging talk by Dr Robyn Atcheson and Dr Becca Watterson, featuring real objects and demonstrations from the museum collection.
Children can then take part in hands-on activities at two themed stations:
This is a free set-timed, family-friendly workshop running twice on Thursday 12 February 2026, with the first session taking place at 1pm and a second session taking place at 3pm (both sessions are the same event). The workshops will take place at the Northern Ireland War Memorial, (21 Talbot Street, Belfast, BT1 2LD). Please note, children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
