As part of NI Science Festival 2026, we're launching two online resources on wartime first aid and the role of women during the Second World War in Northern Ireland.

The Wartime First Aid Story Map builds on our oral history collection, sharing first-hand memories of wartime medicine through an interactive web-based map linked to objects and interviews in our collection.

The second resource is an online exhibition hosted on Bloomberg Connects, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Women's Wartime Uniforms.

Both resources will complement our related talks and workshops for the NI Science Festival. A full programme of the NI Science Festival can be found on the NI Science Festival website. Alternatively, you can view our events on the 'What's On' section of our website.

The online exhibition on Women's Wartime Uniforms will be accessible through a free-to-download app, Bloomberg Connects. The Wartime First Aid StoryMap will be hosted online on our website and social media.
