Memorial Wall

The memorial wall is lined with highly polished Belgian black marble, known as Noir De Sable.

A granite plinth sits in front of the marble and contains two volumes of the Roll of Honour, naming those from Northern Ireland who died serving with the armed forces in the First and Second World Wars.

The Memorial Wall and granite plinth were key features in the original War Memorial Building on Waring Street and continue to provide a focus for remembrance.
