The Belfast Blitz

Belfast was bombed by the Luftwaffe on four occasions in April and May 1941. Nearly 1,000 people lost their lives as a result.

Set around a model of an air raid warden rescuing a teddy bear from the rubble, items on display relate to the Belfast Blitz. These include an incendiary bomb, shrapnel, newspapers from the period, photographs of the victims, and letters.
